Last night I was able to attend the Union Awards at 53 degrees in Preston. It was a formal event, so an opportunity to see all the staff and students dressed to impress.

I was nominated for Employee of the Year with some of the other staff from Essentials which was an honour, it is a job that allows you to be creative and take on as much responsibility as you are able too. Other nominees have contributed many hours to helping out not only current students but prospective students as well and each one of them deserves the award ten fold. Unfortunately none of the essentials staff won the award but the fact we were appreciated for the work we do is fantastic.

I do some occasional work as a photographer for the Student Media, which has included helping out with election coverage. I was unaware there was any kind of award for helping with this but here it is :

I enjoyed a fantastic evening with the people I work with and I am delighted to have this certificate to show I take part in such a vital part of the Student Union voting in the SAC.
