Make, Do and Mend

I was taught to sew and knit from a young age, many of my friends and family have at some point received a hand-made gift. I am now carrying on this hobby into my everyday life. With little knitted creations decorating the house, cross stitch soon to be hung on the walls and sewing patterns that I am itching to make.

What makes this so different? well the main issue is that it isn’t cheaper to make do and mend any more. With cheap clothes being made readily available who can justify spending £6 on fabric and the extra time to make it into something?

The quality of the result is what makes this work, a £2 vest top may last a month maybe two. A £6 piece of fabric will last at least a year and will be exactly as you designed it.

I look forward to making clothes that will be the perfect fit and fabric for me.

That is all for now

P.S There is a Knitter Natter event this wednesday at the New continental in preston it starts at 7.30pm, come join and chat about what you’d like to make
